News-Topic to the Editor Policy We welcome letters to the editor submitted under the following guidelines: Each letter must contain the writer’s full name, address and phone number for verification. Anonymous letters, those signed with ficticioius names or those that cannot be verified WILL NOT be printed. Letters will be edited in accordance with the rules of libel and good taste. The News-Topic reserves the right to edit and/or reject any letter. An individual is limited to one letter in a 30-day period. We ask writers to limit their letters to 300 words, unless in a response to another letter, column or editorial. In that case, the letter is limited to 600 words.
